Trump described his talks with the Chinese leader as extremely successful — CNN

U.S. President Donald Trump said that his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing went very well.

CNN reported this.

After official talks at the Great Hall of the People, the leaders of the two countries visited the Temple of Heaven—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—where they continued their conversation in a less formal setting.

During a brief stop for a group photo, representatives of the American media asked the White House chief about the results of the discussions.

“Great. Great place. Incredible. China is beautiful,” the U.S. president said, expressing satisfaction with both the progress of the dialogue and the hospitality of the host country.

The meeting between the leaders of the world’s two most powerful economies took place against the backdrop of a tense international situation, particularly the large-scale escalation in Ukraine.

Donald Trump’s positive assessment of the talks offers hope for reaching agreements on key global issues, including security and economic cooperation.

The Chinese capital served as a venue for discussing strategic challenges, where the U.S. president is seeking to find common ground with Beijing.

Despite the complexity of the agenda, Trump’s public statements indicate a constructive mood and a high level of understanding between the two leaders.

A visit to the historic Temple of Heaven, built in the early 15th century, served as a symbolic conclusion to the official part of the summit.

The use of such iconic locations underscores the importance of establishing personal contact between leaders and respect for China’s cultural heritage.
