Trump voiced his support for Pashinyan ahead of the elections in Armenia

U.S. President Donald Trump has publicly expressed his support for Nikol Pashinyan. The statement came on the eve of Armenia’s parliamentary elections, scheduled for June 7.

Trump wrote about this on the social media platform Truth Social.

The U.S. president called Pashinyan a wonderful friend and leader who, in his words, “is making his country strong, prosperous, and completely safe.”

“Nikol fully shares my vision of peace and prosperity for Armenia and the entire South Caucasus region. Our Secretary of State Marco Rubio has just visited Armenia, where he concluded several important agreements for both our countries,” the U.S. president wrote.

Soon, the White House chief added, the United States and Armenia will jointly launch the “Trump Path to International Peace and Prosperity,” which will transform the South Caucasus and help American energy companies gain access to the region.

“For these reasons, Nikol has my full and unconditional support for re-election on June 7, 2026. With Nikol’s help, we will lift the United States, Armenia, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia to greater heights than ever before,” the U.S. president stated.

Earlier, Armenia appealed to the EU to send a rapid response team to counter Russian influence.
