Trump threatened to bomb Oman if it stands in the way of ending the war with Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to bomb Oman if the country stands in the way of his efforts to end the U.S. and Israel’s war against Iran, according to The Guardian.
In comments to Fox News, Trump stated that the U.S. would bomb Oman if it stood in the way of this. The publication also notes that in May, during a cabinet meeting, the U.S. president threatened to “blow up” the country if it did not “behave properly.”

According to The Guardian, the U.S.- and Israeli-led war against Iran began in February and has been ongoing for nearly six months. Trump has repeatedly stated that the conflict will end soon and has also spoken of the prospect of a lasting peace agreement, but no such breakthrough has yet occurred.
The Strait of Hormuz, through which about one-fifth of the world’s seaborne oil shipments typically pass, has been virtually closed since the start of the war. Iran is located north of the strait, and Oman is to the south; according to the publication, the countries are negotiating control over it. On Friday, Trump also threatened to declare the Strait of Hormuz “U.S. territory.”
