Trump threatened to strike Iran's bridges and power plants

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States will strike Iran’s bridges and power plants in response to the opening of fire on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. He wrote about this on the social media platform Truth Social.

According to Trump, such a response will be employed whenever the Islamic Republic of Iran opens fire on ships in the strait—whether with missiles, rocket-propelled grenades, drones, or other means or weapons.

“The United States will bomb and destroy one bridge or power plant, including those located near the capital, Tehran, or within the capital itself,” the U.S. president stated.

The day before, Trump had expressed skepticism about possible negotiations with Iran to end the war. It was also reported that U.S. Central Command had completed its eleventh round of strikes against Iran.
