Trump Threatens Military Strike Against Oman Over the Strait of Hormuz — CNN
U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that a military strike against Oman is a possibility. According to him, this could happen if Oman and Iran attempt to establish control over the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the world’s key oil supply routes.
CNN reports this.
Trump stated that Oman must abide by common rules, otherwise the U.S. will be forced to strike it.
During his current presidential term, Trump has already authorized attacks on the territories of seven countries, including Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen. The U.S. also attacked some of these countries during his first presidency. These statistics also do not include military operations against ships in the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, which are likely related to drug trafficking.
In addition, during his current term, Trump has left open the possibility of using force or has directly threatened seven other countries: Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Greenland (which belongs to Denmark), Mexico, Panama, and now Oman.
