Israel has expanded its military campaign into southern Lebanon. Residents of the region have been ordered to evacuate their homes immediately, as the army prepares for active combat operations in the new area of operations.

The Israeli army has declared a vast area in southern Lebanon a danger zone. The front line has now officially shifted to the Zahra River, which flows about 40 kilometers from the Israeli border. The military is demanding that civilians immediately move north of this waterway.
“We advise residents of southern Lebanon to evacuate north of the Zahra River, as all areas south of the river are considered a combat zone,” said a spokesperson for the IDF.
The area ordered to be evacuated covers nearly 2,000 square kilometers. Israel plans to attack Hezbollah positions there, so people are being urged to stay away from weapons depots and militant facilities.
France24 reports that Israel has carried out more than 120 strikes on southern and eastern Lebanon in recent days. This has occurred despite the April ceasefire agreement.
