Trump: Starmer has failed and will resign
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will step down from his post, criticizing his policies on immigration and energy.
“Keir Starmer will resign as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He has failed miserably on two very important issues—immigration and energy. I wish him success,” Trump said.

On May 13, 2025, police detained 21-year-old Ukrainian Roman Lavrynovych, and on May 17, they detained another suspect, a 26-year-old man. They are currently in custody. The Ukrainian man has been charged with three counts of arson with intent to endanger life. He has appeared in court.
