Trump has become the most unpopular U.S. president, according to The Economist

U.S. President Donald Trump has become the least popular White House occupant in the entire history of joint public opinion polls conducted by The Economist and YouGov. His approval rating has fallen to an all-time low.

This was reported by The Economist.

According to pollsters:

  • Trump’s approval rating stands at minus 24%;
  • 34% of Americans approve of his performance;
  • 58% do not support the president’s policies;
  • 6% are undecided.

These figures make him, according to researchers, the least popular U.S. president since 2009, when regular surveys began.

Analysts cite several key factors: a negative reaction to policies regarding the war with Iran, a deterioration in U.S. economic indicators, and growing public dissatisfaction with the country’s leadership.

Particularly notable is that the level of criticism has risen even in states that previously supported Trump in the 2024 election.

Pollsters note that the gap between Trump’s supporters and opponents has reached its widest point during his entire presidency, indicating a decline in support even among part of his traditional base.

As a reminder, U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval rating among Americans has fallen to nearly its lowest point since his return to the White House.

At the same time, Trump once again repeated the threats he has been making in recent weeks: “If they agree, it’s over; if not, we’ll bomb them.”

Official Tehran refused to participate in the second round of peace talks with the United States, which were to take place in Islamabad.
