Trump deleted a controversial AI-generated image in which he was compared to Jesus — The Guardian

U.S. President Donald Trump deleted an AI-generated image that depicted him as Jesus Christ.

This was reported by The Guardian

The image in question, published on April 12, shows Trump standing by a man’s hospital bed, surrounded by a soldier, a nurse, and a woman praying. Light emanates from his palms, one of which he places on the patient’s forehead.

The post sparked a wave of criticism among Christians, including supporters of the U.S. president. Fox News host and conservative commentator Riley Gaines said she doesn’t understand why he posted it. In her opinion, Trump could have shown more humility.

Megan Basham, a writer for the conservative publication Daily Wire, called Trump’s post “outrageous blasphemy.” Steve Dis, host of the right-wing channel BlazeTV, reacted to the post with a brief “No.”

Trump later confirmed that he was the one who posted the image that drew criticism. At the same time, he stated that he did not believe he was depicted as Christ, but rather saw it as an image of a Red Cross doctor. “Only the fake news could come up with such an interpretation. I just heard about this now and thought: how did they even come up with that? The idea was that I was playing the role of a doctor helping people recover,” Trump explained.

As a reminder, Trump is rapidlylosing public support after a year in office, according to The Times.

Only 35% of Americans currently approve of Donald Trump’s performance as U.S. president, which is one of the lowest figures during his two terms.

Prior to this, Donald Trump’s approval rating had dropped to a critical 36%, a significant decline from the start of his term, when the U.S. president had 47%.

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance has emerged as the leading conservative contender for the upcoming presidential election.
