Trump announced the end of the ceasefire with Iran and his refusal to negotiate

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Washington will no longer adhere to the ceasefire with Iran and is suspending negotiations with Tehran.

According to the U.S. leader, the Iranian regime’s actions were the reason for this decision.

“We will not allow the crazy Iranians to obtain nuclear weapons. Iran has tried to kill me and has killed thousands of its own citizens. I don’t think they even understand what they’re doing. We’ve spent too much time on them, and we’ll have to do what’s necessary there,” Trump said.

During his speech, the U.S. president repeatedly made harsh remarks about the Iranian government, calling its representatives “crazy” and “evil.”

“They’re losers. Otherwise, they would have made a deal with us long ago. We’ve already eliminated their first leadership, and then their second. These are evil and sick people. They need to be eradicated root and branch, like a cancerous tumor,” Trump said.

According to the U.S. president, Washington considers the ceasefire with Iran to be over, and the memorandum of understanding has been revoked.

“I am no longer interested in negotiating with Iran,” the American leader concluded.

There was no official confirmation of these statements or comments from Iran at the time of publication.

He made the statement on July 8 during the NATO summit in Ankara.

As a reminder, Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs called on NATO countries to continue supporting Ukraine and not to allow Russia to achieve its goals through intimidation.

In addition, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar agreed to hold a bilateral meeting in the near future.

As a reminder, U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit in Turkey.

At the NATO summit, which will take place on July 7–8 in Ankara, the allies plan to approve new long-term commitments to support Ukraine. The draft final declaration calls for 140 billion euros in military aid for 2026–2027 and reaffirms that Russia remains a threat to Euro-Atlantic security.

The NATO summit will discuss the creation of a special tribunal for Russia, according to the Dutch prime minister.
