US President Donald Trump said that Mexico has nothing the United States needs except hot tamales and tomatoes. Mexico News Daily noted that this statement contrasts with the scale and diversity of trade between Mexico and the United States.
Exports in July
According to the publication, Mexico exported $60 billion worth of goods to the United States in July alone. The shipments included cars, auto parts, machinery and equipment, medical devices, servers for artificial intelligence, energy products and food.

In the first seven months of 2026, Mexican exports to the United States reached $358.7 billion. This is 16% more than in the same period of 2025.
