A third woman has retained an attorney in a case involving the Sydney Swans

The third woman in the case of an alleged sexual assault linked to the Sydney Swans Australian football club has retained a lawyer. Her representative, Jackson Panam, a senior lawyer at Slater and Gordon, said they are considering filing a civil lawsuit, according to ABC News Australia.

According to Panam, his client reported the incident to the police immediately after the alleged assault at the Pullman Hotel in East Melbourne in the early hours of Monday, August 17. He noted that the woman continues to cooperate with the police as part of the investigation. The attorney stated that this incident was an extremely traumatic experience for his client.

On Friday, the law firm Carbone Lawyers separately announced that it is representing two other women who, according to ABC, are believed to be workers in the adult entertainment industry. The firm is also exploring the possibility of a civil lawsuit.

According to ABC, after the Sydney Swans’ victory over Essendon in Melbourne, several adult entertainment industry workers joined the team’s players at the Pullman Hotel. The club suspended five players—Isaac Gini, Nick Blakey, Chad Warner, Riley Byas, and James Jordan—for violating club standards regarding alcohol consumption and staying out late after the game.

Police are continuing their investigation. As of the time of this ABC report, law enforcement had not made any arrests or filed any charges.
