The IDF has reported the existence of a Hezbollah underground command post beneath a store in Lebanon
The Israeli military reported the discovery of an underground Hezbollah command center in southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, the facility was located beneath a civilian clothing store in the town of Al-Khayam. The tunnel was dug to a depth of about 25 meters.
Inside, according to the military, there were rooms for commanding combat operations, as well as a weapons cache.
The operation was carried out by units of the 769th Brigade under the command of the 91st Division, which operate in the border area to prevent threats to settlements in northern Israel.
The IDF stated that Hezbollah is placing its infrastructure in civilian facilities, which, in their view, poses an additional danger to the civilian population of Lebanon.
The Israeli military also emphasized that it will continue operations to identify and destroy such facilities.
As a reminder, as a result of an attack during the armed conflict in the Middle East, a plant that supplied the Iranian nuclear program was put out of commission.
Recall that in Iran, a shell struck the Bushehr nuclear power plant; the IAEA and Rosatom are calling for de-escalation.
There was also a dispute in the UN Security Council over Iran’s nuclear program.
