Woman suffers cuts in suspected antisemitic attack in Berlin
In Berlin, Germany, a 43-year-old woman suffered cuts to her arm in a suspected antisemitic attack after two men noticed her Star of David necklace. Police are investigating the incident, The Jerusalem Post reports.
Attack in the Mitte district
According to police, the incident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on the night from Thursday to Friday on Torstrasse in the Mitte district of central Berlin. Two unidentified men approached the woman after noticing the Star of David she was wearing.
They then insulted her with antisemitic remarks. Later, one of the men, according to law enforcement, attacked the woman with a broken glass bottle. She tried to defend herself and sustained several cuts to her arm, while the suspects fled the scene.

Investigation transferred to state security unit
Medics provided assistance to the victim at the scene, after which she was taken to hospital. Berlin police did not provide details about the woman's condition or release descriptions of the attackers.
The case was transferred to the Berlin criminal police's state security unit, which investigates crimes motivated by political, extremist, or antisemitic grounds. German authorities have not reported any arrests in the case so far.
According to Berlin authorities, 2,268 antisemitic offenses were recorded in the city in 2025, 24.3% more than a year earlier. Of these, 64 cases were classified as violent.
