Since the beginning of the year, Belarus has stepped up inspections, repairs, and modernization of bomb shelters. According to the BELPOL project, dozens of protective structures have already been restored, and based on the results of inspections, officials have been issued dozens of orders to rectify violations.
These measures are taking place against the backdrop of mobilization drills and increased military activity in the country. According to Western media reports, the Kremlin is allegedly trying to persuade Minsk to take a more active role in the war against Ukraine, though there is no official confirmation of this information.
This is being reported by pro-Russian propaganda media.
As a reminder, Lukashenko stated that Belarusian military personnel will not take part in the war against Ukraine.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that one should not be naive about Belarus’s role in Russia’s war against Ukraine. According to him, Minsk is under strong influence from Moscow, and most of the Belarusian government’s decisions are effectively dictated by the Kremlin.
