Belarus has claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were involved in the attack on a bus in the Bryansk region
Belarus has promised to hold accountable anyone who may be involved in the attack on a bus carrying a children’s soccer team in the Bryansk region.
The relevant agencies are already working on the investigation and coordinating with Russian authorities.
“We are acting within the law. A criminal case has been opened, and Russia and Belarus know how to respond to such terrorist acts. Anyone involved in the attack will be held accountable sooner or later. As for assistance, all relevant agencies, including the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are already cooperating with Russian authorities, and all necessary support will be provided,” said Oleg Gaidukevich, deputy chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the lower house of parliament.
The Belarusian lawmaker also called the incident “yet another act of terrorism” and warned of the risk of further escalation.
He emphasized: “This is terrorism, and it is not the first act of terrorism. Clearly, their objective is to prolong the war, drag as many [countries] as possible—including Belarus—[into the conflict], and provoke Russia into a response that would cause the escalation to spread across all of Europe. The worse things go for them on the front lines, the more they rely on terror and extremism.”
Belarus emphasized that the relevant agencies are already providing the necessary support to the victims and coordinating actions with the Russian side.
This was stated by Oleg Gaidukevich, deputy chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the lower house of parliament.
Earlier, partisans from the “ATESH” movement carried out a successful sabotage operation behind enemy lines in Russia’s Bryansk Oblast, disrupting the Russian military’s logistics.
