In Britain, a Russian man was convicted of assaulting a woman in the presence of Trump's son

In Britain, the Royal Court of Snaresbrook sentenced a Russian man to four years in prison for assaulting a woman, an incident witnessed by the U.S. president’s youngest son, Barron Trump.

The Guardian reported on this.

In January of last year, 23-year-old Matvey Rumyantsev attacked a woman and caused her bodily harm. Law enforcement officials noted that the attack was motivated by jealousy over the woman’s interaction with the U.S. president’s son.

“The attack occurred during a video call with the younger Trump. Rumyantsev did not end the call but instead filmed the assault on the woman. After witnessing this, Trump called the British police to report the crime,” the article states.

Rumyantsev was sentenced to four years in prison for the assault and obstruction of justice after he wrote to the victim from prison, asking her to withdraw her charges.

At the same time, he was acquitted of charges of rape, attempted strangulation, and sexual assault that occurred in November 2024. The Russian has already served two years in custody.

Earlier in the UK, two people were charged after attempting to enter a naval base where nuclear submarines are stationed. The individuals in question are citizens of Iran and Romania who were detained following an incident in Scotland.
