Brussels has stated that an attack on an EU country would be considered an attack on the entire Union
The European Union has emphasized that any attack by Russia on an EU member state will be considered an attack on the entire bloc.
Officials in Brussels stressed that such aggression would have consequences for the entire European Union.
According to a European Truth correspondent in Brussels, European Commission spokesperson Thomas Rignée made this statement on Tuesday, April 7.
He was responding to questions regarding Russia’s threats against the Baltic states for granting Ukraine airspace to strike Russian territory.
“An attack on one of our member states is an attack on the EU as a whole,” Renier said.
The spokesperson also noted that the European Commission had “seen media reports” regarding Russia’s threats against the Baltic states.
Thomas Renier highlighted four flagship initiatives aimed at protecting EU member states from external interference, including the drone defense initiative and the "Air Shield" initiative, which are currently priorities for the European Union.

As a reminder, Fico stated that Slovakia does not support Ukraine’s accelerated accession to the EU.
Fico also announced an agreement with the European Commission on resuming operations of the "Druzhba" pipeline.
