Finland completes investigation into crashes of drones of Ukrainian origin
Finland has completed investigations into cases involving the crashes of four military drones with warheads. The completed pre-trial investigations confirmed that the drones found in the spring originated from Ukraine, YLE News reports.
Reasons for the drones' deviation
According to Finnish authorities, GNSS navigation interference recorded at the time and weather conditions affected the drones' deviation toward Finland. The Border Guard investigated the cases as violations of territorial integrity, while Finland's National Bureau of Investigation (KRP) investigated them as aggravated endangerment and endangerment.

Where the drones were found
Drones with warheads were found in March in Kouvola, Luumäki and Parikkala, and in April in Iitti. In the Luumäki case, police suspected that the drone had exploded in the air.
Separately, two drones violated Finnish airspace in May. The country's Ministry of Defence also reported the discovery of a drone in the coastal area of Pellinki near Porvoo. The Border Guard confirmed to YLE that the device was Russian-made and contained no explosives.
