The footage shows the equipment in the operating room shaking violently during the tremors. An abdominal surgery was underway at the time. Medical staff shielded the patient on the operating table with their own bodies.

The footage also shows a nurse opening the door to clear a path for evacuation. According to the hospital, four surgeries were underway at the time of the earthquake.
The hospital reported that all four surgical procedures were successfully completed. After the earthquake, the facility suspended outpatient services but resumed them as usual on August 5.
