In the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, a 36-year-old resident of Dnipro stabbed a 51-year-old man from the Vinnytsia region in the abdomen right inside a hotel room. The victim was taken to the hospital with a penetrating wound; his life is not currently in danger.
The incident occurred the day before the victim was scheduled to return home. His underage daughter accidentally went into the wrong room and entered the neighboring room. A guest staying there began to scold the girl. She became frightened and told her father everything.
When the father went to the neighbor’s room to sort out the situation, a quarrel broke out between the two men. During the altercation, the assailant pulled out a knife and stabbed the neighbor in the abdomen.
The victim was rushed to the hospital; his life is not currently in danger.
Law enforcement officers detained the 36-year-old suspect and seized the weapon used in the crime. The suspect has been charged under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional grievous bodily injury). He faces up to eight years in prison for the crime.
