China secures over 130 billion yuan for rural construction
By the end of August, China had secured more than 130 billion yuan, or about $19.4 billion, for rural construction projects. This was reported by ECNS, citing CCTV News.
Rural roads
The total length of China’s rural road network currently stands at 4.7 million kilometers. Funding is being allocated to various rural infrastructure projects, including road works.

In Zanghuang County, Hebei Province, more than 40 million yuan, or approximately $6 million, was invested this year in paving roads and installing street lighting. According to ECNS, these works improve access for local residents, the transportation of agricultural products, and travel for visitors.
Infrastructure facilities
The country is also continuing to improve water supply and drainage systems, sanitary toilets, facilities for household waste management and wastewater treatment. Facilities for elderly care are being improved separately in rural areas.
