The Kremlin has announced a new visit by Kushner and Witkoff to Russia
U.S. Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will soon return to the Russian Federation for official talks.
The American officials, who currently oversee the White House’s Middle East diplomacy, will continue discussions on a number of important international issues.
The visit is a continuation of a series of bilateral contacts between Washington and Moscow amid preparations for global security agreements.
Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president, officially informed journalists about the upcoming trip by the American envoys on Sunday, June 14.
According to him, the details and timing of this visit have already been fully agreed upon by the diplomatic agencies of both countries.
The main purpose of the high-level officials’ visit will be to analyze the current geopolitical situation and coordinate steps in regions of mutual interest.
Representatives of U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration are currently focusing their primary attention on resolving protracted conflicts.
“It has been agreed that U.S. President’s Special Representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who are currently most closely involved in Iranian affairs, will visit Russia again in the near future,” Yury Ushakov stated.
It is expected that during the meetings, the parties will discuss in detail the prospects for concluding a new peace agreement with Tehran.
