The Kremlin responded to Russian director Andrei Zvyagintsev’s call for Putin to end the war against Ukraine by stating that he allegedly “has no right to speak” on such matters.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the director’s remarks, said he had no intention of relaying them to Putin.
“I don’t think anyone will do that,” Peskov said.
He also claimed that Zvyagintsev “has never condemned the bloody massacre carried out by the Kyiv regime in Donbas.”
“If he had been doing this since 2014, then he would probably have a right to speak. But now he has no such right,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
On May 23, while receiving the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival for his film “The Minotaur,” Zvyagintsev addressed Putin from the stage with an appeal: “End this slaughter already. The whole world is waiting for this.”
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that the Kremlin fears most the possible imposition of a complete ban on maritime transport within the European Union.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s order to launch a massive strike on Kyiv is directly linked to the recentMay 9 parade.
