The Kremlin called on the U.S. to cooperate even before the war ended
The Kremlin stated that the United States should not wait for the war in Ukraine to end, but should begin implementing joint projects immediately.
This was stated by the Russian dictator’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, citing Russian media.
"Work within this group (Russia-U.S. — ed.) is ongoing, and various issues are being discussed. But you know the American side’s approach, which still links the topic of trade and economic cooperation, the revival of this mutually beneficial cooperation, to a settlement in Ukraine. We, however, believe that it is not at all necessary to wait for a settlement in Ukraine," he said.
According to Peskov, “engaging in mutually beneficial projects, of which there could be many on the agenda,” would benefit both countries.
The Kremlin did not congratulate Magyar on his victory and called Hungary an unfriendly country.
As a reminder, according to the results of 98.93% of the votes counted, the Fidesz party won 69.35% of the vote. This gives the opposition 138 seats in parliament, allowing it to form a constitutional majority on its own.
Trump declined to comment on the defeat of his friend Orbán in the Hungarian elections.
