Latvia expects prolonged rain and gusty winds on September 25 — LSM English

Latvia is forecast to see prolonged rain in many regions on Friday, September 25. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with maximum air temperatures ranging from +11 to +15 degrees Celsius.

Rain in the central part of the country

The heaviest precipitation is expected in central Latvia. Rain is expected to be lighter in southwestern Kurzeme and southeastern Latgale, LSM English reports.

The wind will blow from the south and southwest. In Kurzeme, it will be westerly and northwesterly. In many coastal areas, wind gusts will reach 12–17 meters per second.

Forecast for Riga

Cloudy weather with prolonged rain is expected in Riga. A moderate southwesterly wind is forecast. The maximum air temperature in Latvia's capital will be around +12 degrees Celsius.
