Three people were arrested in Latvia for setting fire to a defense plant in Estonia
Three people have been detained in Latvia on suspicion of setting fire to the building of the defense company Milrem Robotics in Tallinn. Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.
According to the information available at this time, this was a premeditated arson.
According to State Prosecutor Gardi Anderson, three suspects were involved in the arson, and the court has granted a motion to remand two of them into custody.
The suspects will be transported to Estonia. A decision on the detention of the third suspect will be made in the near future.
“We are investigating all possibilities, including whether this was an act of sabotage,” Anderson added.
Earlier, on August 15, a local resident reported suspicious activity near the Milrem Robotics building, which subsequently caught fire, to the Emergency Response Center.
