More than €70,000 raised in Latvia to support Ukrainian military personnel

Latvian public media outlet LSM English, together with the charitable organization Ziedot.lv, is holding a fundraiser to support Ukrainian military personnel. As of the time of publication, €70,072 had been donated to the campaign. The campaign, titled “Together with Ukraine in Thoughts and Deeds,” was organized for Ukraine’s Independence Day.

What the aid will be used for

The funds raised are intended to help provide Ukrainian military personnel with medical care, psychological support, and opportunities to recover and reintegrate into society. LSM noted that after returning from the front, service members need not only medical but also psychological assistance. This is necessary to restore their strength and overcome physical and mental trauma caused by the war.
