In Lithuania, Russian agents attempted to spy on a drone manufacturer that collaborates with Ukraine

Russian foreign intelligence agents, who are already defendants in a criminal case in Lithuania, may have attempted to infiltrate the facilities of a Lithuanian drone manufacturer that has long been cooperating with Ukraine.

According to him, agents of the former Russian GRU (now the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces), who are already under investigation in Lithuania, showed interest in the company

They allegedly attempted to gain access to the company’s production facilities in Vilnius.

This involves a group of six individuals whose case was referred to court in January 2026. They are suspected of being members of an organized terrorist group, as well as of failed attempts to carry out terrorist acts in Šiauliai in 2024.

According to the investigation, these same individuals may be involved in similar activities in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Romania. It is believed that their actions were coordinated by Russian handlers.

“After examining phones and other devices, investigators discovered that we were also on the list,” Milashauskas said.

He also noted that the threat remains ongoing.

“We recently received information again that our production facilities are a target of interest,” he said.

RSI Europe has been actively cooperating with Ukraine for over four years. The company has a subsidiary in Ukraine, RSI Ukraine, and maintains direct communication with Ukrainian military units, particularly in the field of unmanned technologies.

This was announced by Thomas Milashauskas, CEO of the technology company RSI Europe, according to LRT.

Earlier, Ukraine and Germany agreed on the joint production of “Termit” ground-based robotic systems. The agreement was signed in Brussels during a “Ramstein” format meeting. It is expected that, as a result, the Ukrainian military will receive thousands of such systems, with the German side providing funding for the project.

The Netherlands will finance the production of approximately 700 Ruta cruise missiles for Ukraine. This was announced by Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov during a visit to the Destinus facility.
