At least three people were killed in an explosion in Moscow
At least three people were killed and another 21 were injured in an explosion near the center of Moscow. France 24 reported this, citing Russia’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee—an aggressor state.
According to the committee, the explosion occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. local time. A homemade explosive device detonated as a woman was trying to enter a restaurant, but a security guard stopped her.

Russian authorities have not disclosed who they believe was the likely target of the attack. Independent Russian media outlets speculate that it may have been a military official. France 24 also reports that the attack is suspected to be linked to Russia’s war against Ukraine. In previous years, several high-ranking Russian military officials were killed in Moscow and its environs, and the Kremlin blamed Kyiv for those attacks.
