Three Ukrainians were brutally beaten in Poland

On the evening of August 1, in the town of Kozhukhiv (Lubusz Voivodeship), three Ukrainian citizens—37-year-old Volodymyr, 32-year-old Vasyl, and 28-year-old Adelina—were attacked. The incident took place on the private grounds of the hostel where the victims were staying.

The conflict began with a verbal altercation when a passerby expressed outrage over the music coming from the Ukrainians’ car and accompanied his remarks with xenophobic shouts. A few minutes later, the man returned with two accomplices and a young woman and physically assaulted the group without further conversation.

As a result of the attack, Adelina and Volodymyr sustained head and facial injuries, while Vasyl suffered contusions while trying to defend himself. Medical personnel and police arrived at the scene within five minutes, after which one of the victims was hospitalized.

Law enforcement officials documented the physical injuries and interviewed the victims. Investigators are also reviewing footage from a nearby private surveillance camera, which is believed to have captured the moment of the attack. There are currently no official statements from the police regarding the arrest of the suspects.
