An investigation into the mistreatment of pigeons is underway in Germany

German police have identified a 65-year-old man and launched an investigation into a series of incidents involving the injury and death of pigeons in the city of Freiburg.

This was reported by DW.

According to law enforcement, several pigeons were found in the Stühlinger district with injuries caused by “needle-like projectiles,” while others were wounded or killed by pellets from an air gun.

Particularly shocking was the case of a pigeon that was still alive but had a needle stuck in its head. The bird has not yet been caught.

It remains unclear how many birds were affected in total, or whether all these acts can be attributed to this particular man.

Investigators from the police unit for economic and environmental crimes tracked down the suspect after about three weeks of intensive work in cooperation with animal welfare organizations and the veterinary service.

The Freiburg Public Prosecutor’s Office obtained a search warrant, and law enforcement officers seized relevant evidence from the man’s residence.

The man is currently under investigation on suspicion of violating animal protection and weapons laws. During the search of his home, law enforcement officers seized evidence.

Ukraine and Germany are preparingsix joint defense projects, according to Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyyannounced the creation of a legislative framework for military companies.

Prior to this, Zelenskyy said that the redeployment of Russian air defense systems to the Moscow area has weakened defenses in other regions of Russia, and this opens up many opportunities.
