Five Heidelberg Materials concrete mixer trucks destroyed in arson attack in Germany
German police are investigating an arson attack at a Heidelberg Materials facility in Rosbach, north of Frankfurt. Five concrete mixer trucks were destroyed in the fire, while two other vehicles were damaged.
Circumstances of the fire
The fire broke out early Wednesday morning. As Anadolu Agency reports, investigators said that two unidentified individuals entered the facility and placed an incendiary device among the parked trucks.
No one was injured in the fire. Police estimated the damage at between €600,000 and €800,000.

Online statement by the group
A left-wing radical group claimed responsibility for the arson attack in a statement published online. The authors of the statement said they carried out the attack on Anti-War Day, protesting the company’s business ties with Israel.
They also accused Heidelberg Materials of having its Israeli subsidiary, Hanson Israel, quarry stone and produce asphalt and ready-mix concrete in occupied Palestinian territory. According to the authors of the statement, the company profits from Israel’s occupation of the West Bank.
