Car damages plane at airport in New Hampshire
In Portsmouth, New Hampshire, a car whose driver was, according to police, fleeing law enforcement rammed through the perimeter fence of Portsmouth International Airport and crashed into a parked Pilatus PC-12 turboprop aircraft belonging to PlaneSense. AeroTime reports.

The incident occurred on August 29, 2026, at about 8:09 p.m. local time. According to New Hampshire State Police, an officer attempted to stop a black 2008 Ford Mustang on Durham Street in Portsmouth.
Police were looking for the vehicle in connection with crimes reported in other jurisdictions. According to law enforcement, after seeing the officer, the driver entered the airport grounds with the headlights off.
The Mustang first collided with a Kubota ground tractor and then with the parked PC-12, after which it came to a stop. The teenage driver was detained at the scene and taken to hospital as a precaution.

Aircraft damage and charges
At the time of the crash, the aircraft was at PlaneSense's headquarters in Portsmouth awaiting scheduled maintenance. The company confirmed that the aircraft sustained significant damage. Its employees were not injured, and the operator's flight operations were unaffected.
According to AeroTime, post-crash photographs show the PC-12's left wing torn off and damaged landing gear. The car also sustained significant damage.
Police said the 17-year-old driver was charged with offenses classified as misdemeanors, including aggravated driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, disobeying a police officer, and violating duties following a traffic accident. A hearing in Portsmouth District Court was scheduled for September 9.
According to PlaneSense, its employees provided the driver with first aid and helped secure the crash site before emergency services arrived.
