Body of Elizabeth Moselakgomo, who disappeared while jogging, identified in South Africa
In Kempton Park, South Africa, the family of 38-year-old Elizabeth “Tsonzo” Moselakgomo identified her body at the Germiston mortuary. The woman disappeared on Wednesday while jogging in the Rhodesfield area and was found dead on Saturday evening.
Family reaction
The victim’s cousin, Andries Moraka Matlaila, told TimesLIVE that it would be difficult for the family to come to terms with the circumstances of her death. According to him, her loved ones are in shock and grieving.
Matlaila said that Moselakgomo loved road running and was an active athlete. She is survived by a daughter and two siblings. The relative described her as a cheerful person, a loving mother and someone devoted to her family.

Other bodies found
Over the past two months, the bodies of four other women have been found in the Ekurhuleni metropolitan municipality, three of them near Rhodesfield. Another woman was found in Olifantsfontein, 25 kilometres away, within the same metropolitan municipality.
Acting Gauteng provincial police commissioner Major General Fred Kekana said that the body of a 37-year-old woman was found near the R21 highway on July 15. She was unclothed, and her movements had been restrained with cable ties. Her boyfriend was arrested and remains in custody.
On August 24, the body of a partially clothed 32-year-old woman was found near the R21. On September 10, the body of another unclothed woman in an advanced state of decomposition was found at the same location. Her identity has still not been officially established, and the identification process is ongoing.
