South Africa reviews pastor Mboro’s company contracts worth 6.5 million rand — TimesLIVE
In South Africa, a division of the water utility Rand Water is conducting an independent fact-finding review into contracts for the rental of event venues awarded to Incredible Happenings (Pty), a company linked to pastor Paseka Mboro Motsoeneng. Over four months, from November 2025 to February 2026, the company received orders worth about 6.5 million rand.
As TimesLIVE reports, Water and Sanitation Minister Pemmy Majodina provided these figures in a written response to a parliamentary question from MKP lawmaker Visvin Reddy. He asked whether Motsoeneng’s business had received contracts from water entities over the past 10 years.
Spending on four events
According to Majodina, Rand Water spent 2.3 million rand on venue rental on November 3, 2025, another 213,000 rand on November 6, 3.8 million rand on December 5, and 21,000 rand in February 2026. The services concerned four events in the 2025/26 financial year, including long-service employee recognition ceremonies and training sessions.

The ministry said that services under all four contracts had been provided and the events had taken place. Rand Water’s integrity and procedural compliance unit launched an independent fact-finding process after a referral from the procurement management department on September 1, 2026, amid allegations of possible irregularities.
Call for an independent investigation
Majodina’s response also states that the internal review must determine whether there is a connection between pastor Witness Mazanga and the company allegedly linked to him. Motsoeneng himself declined to comment in a text message, saying he was unaware of the matter.
Reddy called the internal review a first step. According to him, if evidence of corruption, tender manipulation, a conflict of interest, fraud or improper influence emerges, the case should be referred to independent bodies, including the Hawks and South Africa’s Special Investigating Unit.
