Perth City Council dismisses CEO Michelle Reynolds — ABC News Australia
The City of Perth Council in Australia has dismissed chief executive officer Michelle Reynolds, who was suspended from work in May. The decision was made at a special council meeting following an independent investigation, ABC News Australia reports.
Council decision
Mayor Bruce Reynolds said the council voted at a special meeting the previous day to immediately terminate Reynolds' appointment. According to him, this is a confidential employment matter, so details of the investigation will not be disclosed.
The mayor noted that the findings of the independent investigation were serious enough to justify the official's dismissal.

Review of the municipality's operations
The decision was made a week after local government inspector Tony Brown announced a three-month investigation into the operations of the City of Perth.
At the time, Brown said there were broken working relationships and ongoing management problems at the City of Perth.
