An investigation is underway in Poland into an attack on Ukrainian teenagers over the Ukrainian language
Polish police have launched an investigation following reports of an assault on two 13-year-old Ukrainian girls in the city of Legnica. According to preliminary information, the Ukrainian language may have been the cause of the conflict.
The incident gained attention after the girls’ mother posted about it on social media. According to her, while the girls were relaxing by the pool, a local woman approached them, complained about their speaking Ukrainian, and then allegedly shoved one of the girls and two other minors who tried to intervene.
The Polish Ministry of the Interior reported that law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the incident, including whether the woman used physical force.
Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs spokesperson Karolina Halecka emphasized that no one has the right to use violence against others, especially children, and that a possible attack based on national origin is particularly unacceptable.

At the same time, Broniatowski is convinced that Poland cannot be ignored indefinitely. “We cannot be sidelined because of our geography,” he stressed, referring to the country’s key role in logistics and support for Ukraine.
As a reminder, the U.S. will provide Poland with a $2 billion loan to purchase weapons: F-35 fighter jets, Patriot air defense missile systems, and Abrams tanks.
Earlier, Poland signed an agreement with the U.S. for the delivery of 96 AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopters, along with a logistics and training package, for a total of $10 billion.
