The new head of the British Ministry of Defense has responded to Russia's naval exercises off the coast of the United Kingdom
The newly appointed British Defense Minister, Wes Streeting, called the artillery drills conducted by a Russian warship on Monday, July 20, approximately 74 km south of Plymouth, “provocative and irresponsible.”
A British Royal Navy ship monitored the Russian vessel during its activities. Commenting on the incident, Streating emphasized that this is just “the tip of the iceberg of daily threats” that the United Kingdom and its allies constantly face.

As a reminder, the Russian frigate “Neustrashimy” conducted artillery drills involving live-fire exercises near the southwestern coast of Great Britain. The maneuvers took place the day after Andy Burnham was appointed the country’s new prime minister.
The active phase of the international Sea Breeze exercises, led by Ukraine, is currently underway in the United Kingdom.
The Ukrainian Navy reported the destruction of the Russian FSB border patrol vessel “Izumrud” near Novorossiysk. According to the military, the strike on the vessel was carried out using the Sargan-3000 system.
