Charges have been filed in Poland against those involved in the survey on Bandera
The prosecutor’s office in the Polish city of Poznań has filed charges against two men who were detained following a high-profile anti-Ukrainian incident at Poznań University of Economics. Two more individuals are suspected of inciting ethnic hatred through comments posted online.
According to Łukasz Wawryniak, a spokesperson for the Poznań District Prosecutor’s Office, the detainees are charged with defamation, specifically the dissemination of false claims about alleged activities aimed at “changing the ethnic structure” of Poland.
Both suspects have denied the charges. One of them refused to testify, while the other stated that he had come to the university to check whether the premises were being rented to a company that allegedly “brings in foreigners.”
The court imposed preventive measures on the men in the form of police supervision. They were also prohibited from contacting the victim or approaching her. Under the charges brought against them, the suspects face a fine or up to one year in prison.

Meanwhile, law enforcement officials are continuing their investigation and analyzing comments posted under the video of the incident online.
According to Karolina Halecka, a spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of the Interior, two more men will face charges of inciting ethnic hatred due to their online posts.
