Russia has recorded Putin's lowest approval rating since the start of the war
The Russian state-run VTsIOM polling center has recorded Putin’s lowest approval rating since late February 2022.
According to a poll conducted March 19–22, the approval rating stood at 70.1%, down 1.9 percentage points from the previous reading.
Trust in Putin also declined, to 75%. A drop was also recorded for Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin (to 55%) and the United Russia party (to 29.3%).
As noted, the current figure is the lowest since the start of the full-scale war against Ukraine.
As a reminder, the Kremlin has expressed hope for new negotiations with Ukraine.
The Kremlin also commented on the upcoming talks in the U.S. without Russia’s participation.
