A lecture by Russian urban planner Gershman has been canceled in Riga
Two venues in Riga have refused to host a lecture by Russian urban planner Arkady Gershman, which was scheduled for April 28.
The speaker himself reported this, citing Russian media.
According to him, one of the venues notified him of the cancellation on the day of the event, citing a ban by the authorities. The other venue canceled the event in advance, asking for understanding regarding the situation.
Gershman noted that he had not received any official explanations or documents, but the message, he said, was clear. He also added that he had considered the risks following the cancellation of a lecture by Korea expert Andriy Lankov earlier this year.
Despite this, the urbanist claims he had the necessary entry permits, and the topic of his presentation posed no threat. Ultimately, the lecture was held online.
Latvia will transfer additional CVR(T) armored vehicles to Ukraine.
