For the sixth week in a row, the Russian state-run sociological research center VTsIOM has recorded a decline in Putin’s approval rating.
This was reported by Meduza.
According to a survey conducted April 6–12, the approval rating stood at 66.7%, down 1.1 percentage points from the previous week. The trust rating also fell to 72% (down 1.8 percentage points).
Support for the ruling United Russia party is also falling—to 27.3%.
At the same time, the ratings of other parties are rising: “New People” — 12.4%, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) — 10.9%, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) — 10.8%, and “Fair Russia” — 5.2%.
Another polling center had previously also recorded a decline in ratings, but in April reported an increase to 76%.
It is noted that in recent weeks, these centers have begun publishing their data with a delay.
