In Saudi Arabia, GCC Secretary General calls for stronger coordination — Asharq Al-Awsat
Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Jasem Al-Budaiwi said at a meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that coordination among member states needs to be strengthened to implement the decisions of the Supreme Council’s consultative meeting. This was reported by Asharq Al-Awsat.
Tenth committee meeting
Al-Budaiwi made the statement on September 29 during the tenth meeting of the High-Level Committee for Follow-up on the Implementation of the Decisions of the GCC Supreme Council’s Consultative Meeting. The meeting was held at the organization’s General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh with the participation of committee members.
According to the secretary general, ministerial committees continue to follow up on the outcomes of ministerial meetings and seminars held jointly with member states. This work is intended to facilitate the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Council’s consultative meeting, the fulfillment of the aspirations of GCC leaders, and the development of joint activities among the Gulf countries.

Implementation of adopted decisions
Al-Budaiwi stressed that the next stage requires close monitoring of the progress achieved and intensified coordination with the relevant bodies in member states. According to him, this is necessary to determine further steps and address possible obstacles.
He also stated the need to turn the outcomes of ministerial meetings and seminars into specific practical measures and monitor their implementation within the specified timeframes. The secretary general commended the work of member states, ministerial committees, and specialized working groups, and emphasized the General Secretariat’s commitment to supporting continuous monitoring of the implementation of decisions.
