The Royal Saudi Naval Forces will hold the fourth Saudi International Maritime Forum in Riyadh. The event will run from November 23 to 25 under the patronage of Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

As Asharq Al-Awsat reports, naval commanders, officials, experts, and representatives of the industrial and technology sectors will take part in the forum.

Security of maritime routes

Participants in specialized sessions will discuss changes in the global strategic environment and their impact on the security of maritime supply chains. Threats to energy supply chains will be addressed separately.

The program also covers seabed security and the protection of underwater infrastructure, challenges facing the maritime transport sector, and technological solutions to protect maritime systems and improve their operational efficiency.

Technology and international participation

The forum is expected to examine the role of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies in strengthening maritime security. International entities from more than 40 countries have already confirmed their participation in the event.

The forum is intended to become an international platform for exchanging knowledge and experience, developing partnerships, and shaping common approaches to modern challenges in the maritime sphere. The report notes that the event reflects Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening the security of seas and important maritime routes, as well as international cooperation in this sector.
