Security and History Conference Opens in Saudi Arabia
The Security and History Dialogue 2026 conference began in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on September 6. More than 160 speakers from Saudi Arabia and other countries are taking part in the event, Asharq Al-Awsat reports.
The conference is being held under the patronage of Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz. It was organized by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior under the theme “Our History and Our Future: Security and Growth.”
Conference program
The event will run until September 8. The program includes more than 65 discussion sessions and interactive meetings involving over 30 organizations. Organizers expect more than 5,000 visitors.

Participants will discuss Saudi Arabia’s experience and transformations from the perspectives of security, politics, the economy, society, culture, national identity, awareness, international relations and institution-building.
Discussion topics
The announced topics include the kingdom’s history and the origins of its security, the figure of founding King Abdulaziz, citizenship, identity and national heritage. Separate sessions are dedicated to Saudi Arabia’s role in security and peace, the future of security capabilities and international partnerships.
Participants will also discuss artificial intelligence and the security of the future, as well as the role of women, the family, citizens, the media and security sectors in strengthening awareness and stability. The program includes a review of local and international experience related to the kingdom’s history and transformations.
