Kazakh citizen detained in Sharjah over deaths of two sisters

Police in the emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates have detained a Kazakh citizen suspected of killing two sisters in a residential apartment. The victims were also Kazakh citizens.

Investigation of the incident

As The National reports, police received a report of a serious incident in an apartment. Officers then launched an investigation, collected evidence and identified the suspect.

Brigadier General Khalifa Balhaï, director of the Criminal Investigation Department of Sharjah Police, said that the sisters knew the detainee. According to him, a dispute arose between them which, according to the investigation, led to the killing of the two women.

The case was referred to prosecutors

Balhaï said that after being presented with the evidence, the detainee, according to police, confessed to the crime. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and the case materials were referred to the prosecutor's office.

Lieutenant General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, commander-in-chief of Sharjah Police, noted the swift response by law enforcement officers. He also urged the public to obtain information from official sources rather than spread rumors.
