Fire covering about 3 hectares of vegetation extinguished in Singapore
A fire that covered about three hectares of vegetation near Seletar Link in Singapore has been extinguished. No one was injured in the incident, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Firefighting efforts
The Singapore Civil Defence Force received a report of a fire near Seletar Link and Seletar South Link at about 11:05 on Saturday, August 29. According to Channel NewsAsia, the fire affected an area of vegetation measuring approximately 150 by 200 meters.
Firefighters used two water jets and an unmanned firefighting machine to extinguish the blaze. The area affected by the fire is approximately equivalent to four football fields.

Eyewitness account
Punggol resident Sean Cheong reported the fire at about 11:20 after seeing smoke and flames in the area while driving. At about 15:30, when he returned to the area, he saw several civil defence and police vehicles at the scene.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force did not specify what time the fire was extinguished.
