Seven warnings in force in Tasmania due to bushfires and wind — ABC News Australia
In the Australian state of Tasmania, the fire service has issued several warnings due to bushfires that are difficult to control amid strong wind gusts. As of 4:00 p.m., seven warnings were in effect, and residents of dangerous areas were urged to follow the latest updates from authorities, ABC News reports.
Warnings for several areas
A Watch and Act level was introduced for Yarlington Road in Colebrook and Seven Mile Beach. Warnings about danger from wind-blown embers were issued for Lewisham, Dodges Ferry and Carlton.
Residents of the Mud Walls Road area in Colebrook were advised to monitor developments. Separate smoke-avoidance notices were in effect for Franklin, as well as Dodges Ferry, Carlton and Seven Mile Beach.

Fire danger due to weather
Earlier, the Tasmania Fire Service warned of increased fire danger in parts of the state due to a combination of high temperatures, dry air and windy weather.
Firefighters were also working at the site of a vegetation fire in Franklin, in the southern part of Hobart. A smoke notice was issued for a section of the Huon Highway south of Franklin to Braeside Road.
