Woman suspected of eavesdropping on actor Cha Eun-woo in Seoul — Korea Herald
In Seoul, South Korea, police are investigating a case involving a woman in her 50s suspected of illegally eavesdropping on the private conversations of actor Cha Eun-woo. She is being investigated on suspicion of violating the Protection of Communications Secrets Act.
Device under a table at a café
As Korea Herald reports, investigators believe the woman secretly listened to the actor's conversations twice in August by attaching a listening device under a table at a café in Seoul's Yongsan-gu district.

She reportedly visited the establishment on August 23 and 29 to install the device. On August 30, the woman was caught while attempting to retrieve it. Yongsan police are establishing the exact circumstances of the incident and checking whether she had accomplices.
Service in the military band
Cha Eun-woo enlisted for active military service in July last year. He is currently serving in a military band. His discharge is scheduled for January 2027.
